History
Unprecedented Growth and Success
Agilex is the fulfillment of Bob LaRose and Jay Nussbaum’s long-term desire to work together to create the industry’s premier government services provider.
LaRose had previously founded and led two extremely successful information technology companies. Advanced Technology, Inc. (ATI) grew to over 2,000 employees with $180M in revenue before being acquired by Emhart/Black & Decker in 1988. Integic had revenue of approximately $180M and 600 employees when the company was acquired by Northrop Grumman in 2005. Prior to the acquisition, Integic was recognized as the 2004 Mid-size IT Contractor of the Year by the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards.
Nussbaum enjoyed similar success through his leadership within such esteemed organizations as Citibank Global Transaction Services, BearingPoint, Inc., Oracle and Xerox. Under his management, Oracle Service Industries grew from $60 million to $1.5 billion and he was also credited with the successful launch of the Managed Services organization at BearingPoint.
They had initially met thirty years ago, as both were beginning their professional careers. Over time, a great business relationship and friendship formed with the two executives vowing to work together at some point to create a truly spectacular firm.
That time arrived March 19, 2007, when Agilex Technologies was established with the support of a handful of trusted business colleagues. By September 17, 2007, when the company formally commenced operations within its new 80,000 square foot headquarters facility, Agilex had grown to thirty eight employees, who are commemorated in a Founders’ plaque in the corporate auditorium.
Over the next three years, Agilex expanded rapidly to over two hundred professionals with revenue growing organically at a spectacular 85% CAGR. Agilex was named a finalist by the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) for Emerging Government Contractor of the Year following just our second year of operations.
With Agilex growing three times faster than his previous firm, Bob LaRose recognized that his vision of creating his most successful company yet was well underway. While driving the business to higher goals for 2010, Bob LaRose unexpectedly passed away on January 11, 2010. He will be remembered as a true pioneer and visionary in the industry. Nussbaum is supported by John Gall and Larry Albert in leading Agilex as the Office of the President. Gall and Albert held senior leadership roles with LaRose at both ATI and Integic, and were co-founders of Agilex. Albert also serves as President of Agilex’ healthcare business unit, which is the company’s largest sector, while Gall manages corporate development activities.
They lead an executive management team that is second to none in terms of its professional credentials and experience. By investing in the resources of a significantly larger organization from day one, Agilex has been able to grow more rapidly while providing world-class customer service.
