Agilex Technologies Expands Sales Leadership

Company Strengthens Position at the Departments of Defense and Health & Human Services, Reinforces Commitment to Risk Management & Data Analytics

CHANTILLY, VA – MAY 15, 2009 - Agilex Technologies, Inc., an enterprise application, solutions and IT advisory firm, serving the government, healthcare and commercial sectors, today announced additional sales leadership hires as part of the company’s substantial growth and continued expansion. To support the company’s efforts on behalf of the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Agilex recently appointed Mary L. Walker as Director of Special Programs and Ken Dougherty as Director of Public Health Solutions. Agilex also named Alex Lunsford as Director of Risk and Analytics Solutions for the company’s Public Services and Commercial practice, and Darren MacLennan as Director of Sales for the Department of Defense (DoD). Since the company’s founding in March 2007, Agilex has grown rapidly as it employs nearly two hundred professionals today.

“We continue to make significant investments in our sales leadership as we recognize the value that our clients receive from their strategic perspective and extensive subject matter expertise. This has allowed us to create win-win partnerships with our clients, where we work collaboratively and openly to solve their most important challenges,” said Jay Nussbaum, chief operating officer and co-founder, Agilex Technologies, Inc. “The addition of Mary and Ken will allow us to expand our presence within HHS, as we build upon the outstanding reputation established by supporting the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT with the Nationwide Health Information Network and Connect initiatives. Alex will help us capitalize on our leadership in both data management and analytic intelligence as we introduce additional solutions for financial analysis and risk management to the civilian sector. Darren will further accelerate our growth at DoD, where we are already recognized as a significant partner within the military healthcare and intelligence communities. We’re delighted to welcome professionals of this caliber to Agilex.”

A highly distinguished healthcare executive, Ms. Walker recently served as the ‘Executive in Residence’ for the HIMSS Foundation’s Institute for e-Health Policy. In this capacity, she helped launch the National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved, a public-private partnership focused on the use of health information technology to alleviate historic health disparities in underserved rural and urban communities. She’s also a member of the Technology Informatics Guiding Educational Reform (TIGER) Initiative, which works to prepare nurses and nursing students for electronic healthcare. Walker joins Agilex from Apptis, Inc., where she served as a vice president for the company’s Health Solution sector. Over her thirty-year career, she has led significant healthcare programs for major contractors, including MITRE, Raytheon and DynCorp, and has served as a researcher with the National Institutes of Health and the Johns Hopkins University.

Joining Walker on Agilex’ HHS team is Ken Dougherty, who will lead the company’s efforts within the public health community. Dougherty brings over a decade of experience with agencies like the Centers for Disease Control and the National Institutes of Health with a specific focus on healthcare informatics and epidemiology. Most recently, Dougherty served as Director of Health Solutions for WebFirst, an award-winning web application development company serving the public sector. Earlier, he led business development efforts for the Government Healthcare Solutions group at Lockheed Martin Information Technology.

In his new role, Lunsford will lead the expansion of Agilex’ risk management and analytic solution offerings primarily for the federal civilian sector. He joins the company from the SAS Institute, where he sold and managed teams delivering advanced data analytics and business intelligence solutions for a number of civilian departments and agencies, including Agriculture, CSOSA, OPM, Treasury, and the Social Security Administration. Previously, he served in sales and consulting capacities with TRX, Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, AT Kearney and Xerox Corporation.

As the company’s Director of Sales for DoD, MacLennan will provide direct coverage for all uniformed services. These efforts will build upon Agilex’ existing presence in the military healthcare and intelligence communities. MacLennan brings twelve years of demonstrated solution sales success within the public sector. Previously, he offered sales leadership to Oracle for nearly a decade and most recently served with Endeca Technologies, where he brought advanced data management solutions to various DoD agencies.
